It’s funny because it’s true.
I am nunka, an aquarius of the inferior sex (male, of course) who has lived in this glorious world for 20 years. I am a perfectionist, a cynic, an asshole, and just hard to get along with in general. I’m currently suffering from severe apathy toward anything of consequence and living in a very hikikomori-esque state. I think I’m an attention whore, too. Quite a conundrum.
Obviously, I enjoy watching anime, which I first discovered in 2003 when Adult Swim began airing dubbed episodes of Trigun (technically, the first anime series I watched was 4Kids’ early abortion of Pokemon in ‘98, but I was young and naïve and those were dark times). With only five years of anime faggotry under my belt, and my blanket hatred of anything made before 1990, I am what some would call “uncultured” and “unappreciative of the classics.” My taste in anime is… difficult to define. Try to glean what you can from my rankings.
Not so much a fan of manga—it loses something critical in the translation process: the actual Japanese. And I do have a passing interest in and some knowledge of the Japanese language. Whether that will amount to anything significant, only time can tell.
Concerning this blog: I’ve been a lurker of the so-called “aniblogosphere” for roughly 3 years now, and I’ve finally decided to make my (insufferable) presence known. I’m not here to hold your hand or pat you on the back. I’m not here to fill every post with a billion and a half screencaps or give you play-by-play summaries of every episode of every series I watch. I’m not even here to entertain you (or maybe I am… who knows?). Ultimately, I’m here because this is something for me to do. I’m here because I need an outlet for ideas and emotions and all that gay shit.
Forget all that. I like pie. Triple berry pie, specifically. Cats are pretty cool, too. Oh, and women. They are sexy and fun to talk to.
